The sections of the travel Slam Stick rod are designed not to fit completely flush together. When you assemble the pieces, you'll notice about a 1/2 inch gap between them. This is a common design feature in many higher end multi-piece fishing rods, as it allows for a snug fit that prevents binding and facilitates easier assembly and disassembly over time. So, while the pieces should be securely connected, the segments won't be entirely flush with one another.

Flat rate shipping of $17 applies per shipment, with a maximum of three parts per package. Depending on the specific parts ordered, items may need to ship in multiple containers. If so, an additional $17 shipping fee may apply for each additional package.
